“We have the opportunity to get an education and make something of ourselves. We have many reasons to hope for great happiness, but we have to earn it. And that is something you can't achieve by taking the easy ways out. Earning happiness means doing good and working, not speculating and being lazy.” ― Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl
It's great to be a Blue Devil!
My name is Brittany Newbold, and I am so excited to begin this journey as the assistant principal of Moody Middle School! Education has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My parents still candidly tell the story of a three-year-old me lining my stuffed animals up for "class." This year begins my 10th year in education, and my first in administration. My educational background is in English Language Arts instruction, and a majority of my career has been teaching middle school English. I am a proud alumnus of Troy University (Bachelors - 2011 - GO TROJANS!), The University of West Alabama (Masters - 2014), and most recently the University of Alabama (Master's add on - 2022), I always felt that God was leading me to administration, and when Covid shut life down in 2020, it gave me the time I needed to finally make the plunge into pursuing an educational administration certification.
My husband, Eugene, and I have been married since 2013, and we have a five-year-old son named Raylan.
I am excited to get to know the Moody community and make an impact on the families and students of Moody Middle School!
